Man City sign Argentina goalkeeper Rulli from Marseille

Manchester City has secured the services of Argentine international goalkeeper Geronimo Rulli from Marseille, signing him on a two-year deal.

Rulli, 34, will serve as the second-choice goalkeeper behind Gianluigi Donnarumma. This move marks a return for Rulli to Manchester City, having previously been at the Etihad Stadium during the 2016/17 season, though he did not make any first-team appearances then.

Marseille has been compelled to sell players this summer to address financial issues, including a €10 million fine for not meeting UEFA's break-even targets. The club's fifth-place finish in Ligue 1 last season also means they will miss out on the lucrative Champions League.
