Man dies days after incident in Nuuk

A man has died in Nuuk, Greenland, days after being hospitalized following an incident. Greenland Police confirmed his death in a press release on Thursday.

The incident occurred Monday in the Nuusuaq area of Nuuk. Local media reported police were at a building due to suspicious circumstances and that a 27-year-old man had been seriously injured and was in critical condition. Two other men, aged 20 and 26, were arrested.

The 26-year-old was brought before a judge the following day and remanded in custody for four weeks, charged with attempted murder. Details about how the attempted murder occurred or any relationship between the individuals have not been disclosed. It is also unclear if the 20-year-old is charged and for what.

Police stated that investigations are still underway and they have no further comments at this time. It remains unknown if the charge against the 26-year-old will change following the death of the 27-year-old.
