Man filmed drinking whisky while driving in Argentina; license suspension requested

The footage shows the 46-year-old driver, whose license is registered in Buenos Aires province, consuming alcohol from a glass while driving at high speed and filming with his cell phone. At one point, he is heard joking, "If we die, we die," referencing a previous case of a fatal accident. The ANSV became aware of the incident through its Citizen Road Reporting System, which allows the public to report dangerous driving. The agency used the provided video evidence to identify the driver and has asked the relevant jurisdiction to implement a preventive suspension of his license. This case highlights the ANSV's efforts to combat dangerous driving through citizen-submitted evidence, with the system having led to the requested suspension of 30 drivers for serious offenses since its implementation. The agency requires audiovisual material clearly showing the vehicle's license plate, along with the location, date, and approximate time of the incident, for a report to be evaluated. In a separate incident, a motorcyclist in Buenos Aires province was sanctioned and banned from driving until 2099 for performing dangerous stunts, including "wheelies" and weaving through traffic while filming himself and posting the videos online.
