Man killed, another wounded in Belgrade cafe shooting

A shooting in Belgrade's Kumodraž neighborhood on June 22, 2026, left one man dead and another injured. The deceased has been identified as Darko Vesković, also known as Prika, who was one of two suspects in the March 2018 murder of Blažo Đurović, a man described as a member of the "kavački clan."

Vesković was killed in a cafe by an unknown assailant. Surveillance footage reviewed by KRIK shows Vesković greeting a man wearing a cap at the entrance. After a handshake, Vesković turned to walk back to his table, with the assailant following closely behind. The attacker then drew a pistol from his waistband and shot Vesković in the head from behind. Vesković fell to the ground, and the assailant fired several more shots before fleeing on foot. The shooter has not yet been apprehended.

The injured man, Vuk Musić, was previously convicted in the case of the murder of Velibor Dunjić, a hooligan. Musić was sentenced for ordering the removal of security camera footage from a boat where Dunjić was killed. Vesković had been sentenced to 15 years in prison for the murder of Đurović, but the appellate court overturned the verdict and ordered a new trial just two months prior to this incident.
