Man Missing From Fishing Trip Found Dead After Falling Into Sea

A fishing trip among friends turned tragic when one man disappeared, prompting a search and rescue operation that ultimately recovered his body.

The incident began when a group, including a man surnamed Jiang, traveled from Taoyuan to the coastal area of Ruifang in New Taipei City for a fishing excursion. After spending the night, friends discovered Jiang was missing from their vehicle. A search of the immediate area revealed his shoes, clothing, mobile phone, and wallet left on the shore.

Concerns grew that Jiang might have fallen into the sea, possibly due to strong waves during late-night fishing or an accidental fall after consuming alcohol. Rescue teams from the fire department and coast guard were mobilized to search the surrounding waters and coastline.

Tragically, a male body was discovered floating near the shore in the Badouzi area of Keelung City later that afternoon. Jiang's family confirmed the identity of the deceased. The exact circumstances leading to his fall into the sea remain under investigation.
