Man sentenced to six years for bombing La Cámpora local in Argentina

A 50-year-old man has been sentenced to six years in prison for detonating an explosive device outside a La Cámpora local in Bahía Blanca, Argentina. Pablo Antonio Ceferino Dahua was convicted of explosion with common danger, endangering persons, and manufacturing or possessing explosive materials. The incident occurred in the early morning of May 25, 2021, when Dahua used a homemade explosive device against the building's facade, causing significant damage to the iron shutter and shattering windows of nearby businesses.

In a plea bargain, Dahua also admitted to leading an illicit association for over three years, dedicated to combating ideologies through force or fear, and committing various discriminatory acts. Another member of the group, Francisco Rosales, received a three-year suspended prison sentence. The ruling was delivered by the Federal Oral Court of Bahía Blanca.

Police responding to the scene found pamphlets on the sidewalk containing inflammatory messages against politicians, union leaders, journalists, and abortion, accusing them of corrupting values and betraying the country. The pamphlets declared, "Traitors know where you live. Fed up!!! Of all of you."

Investigators determined that Dahua acted with another unidentified individual as part of a "radicalized and intransigent collective in its political ideology with violent actions." During searches of Dahua's and his father's homes in September 2024, authorities discovered materials for manufacturing homemade explosives, including chemicals like potassium nitrate, sulfur, and charcoal, along with batteries and detonators.
