Man seriously injured in daylight armed robbery at Royal court

A violent armed robbery occurred in broad daylight near the Royal court in Santa Cruz, Bolivia, leaving a man seriously injured. The incident took place on Sunday before noon, according to reports from the Santa Rosita health center.

The victim, described as a man approximately 40 years old, was reportedly passing by the Royal court area, located along the Doble Vía a La Guardia, when a motorcyclist approached him. The assailant demanded the victim's personal belongings, including his cellphone and wallet. When the victim resisted, the attacker allegedly stabbed him in the right side of his chest with a knife.

Paramedics transported the injured man to the Santa Rosita health center. Staff there noted that the patient had consumed alcoholic beverages but remained conscious. However, due to the critical nature of his stab wound, the case was reported to the police, and the patient was subsequently transferred to a higher-level hospital for more advanced medical care.

The attack underscores the persistent issue of crime and violence in the region, with brazen daylight robberies posing a significant threat to public safety. The use of a motorcycle by the assailant is a common tactic employed by criminals in urban areas to facilitate quick getaways.
