A 25-year-old man has suffered severe burn injuries after setting himself on fire outside the Department of Passports in Tripureshwar, Kathmandu. The incident occurred on Thursday afternoon.

According to police, the man, identified as Ganesh Nepali from Soru Rural Municipality-1 in Mugu district, poured petrol over himself and ignited it around 1:45 pm. The act took place in front of Gate No. 3 of the department. Police reported that Nepali had parked his motorcycle outside the department, and Kathmandu Metropolitan City personnel had placed a wheel lock on the vehicle shortly before the incident.

Angered after his motorcycle was wheel-locked, he took petrol from the bike and set himself on fire.
