Man sought in Nghệ An for allegedly stabbing brother to death

Authorities in Nghệ An province are actively searching for Vừ Bá Lỉa, a 38-year-old man, who is the suspect in the fatal stabbing of his younger brother. The incident took place in Na Ngoi commune, and police have issued a public notice for Lỉa's apprehension.

Initial reports indicate that Lỉa had recently returned home after working away. Late on August 21, after hearing that some individuals had spoken ill of him, Lỉa, accompanied by his brother V.B.B., went to the house of the village's clan leader to discuss the matter. It was during this meeting that a conflict and physical altercation erupted between the two brothers.

During the struggle, Lỉa reportedly found a knife nearby, grabbed it, and fatally stabbed his brother. He then fled the scene immediately after the attack. Local authorities were alerted by the village management, and police secured the crime scene to begin their investigation.

The police notice describes Lỉa as wearing a blood-stained white short-sleeved shirt and long pants, and carrying a knife approximately 50 cm long at the time of his escape. Law enforcement agencies across the country have been asked to cooperate in the search. Additionally, border guards have been mobilized to prevent Lỉa from fleeing the country, with over 150 people reportedly involved in the search efforts in deep forests and along border routes.
