Man stabbed by neighbor over scratched car in Serbia

A seemingly minor incident involving parked cars escalated into violence in Niš, Serbia, leaving a 65-year-old man with a stab wound to the abdomen. The dispute reportedly began when the victim's "Renault" car rolled down a slope and scratched a "Volkswagen" belonging to his neighbor.

Witnesses described the Volkswagen owner emerging from his apartment and calling out to the Renault's owner. When the victim exited his building, the neighbor allegedly retrieved a knife from his car and stabbed him. Despite being wounded, the victim reportedly moved his car and re-entered his building. The assailant then pursued him, slashing a tire and damaging the car's bodywork with the knife while issuing threats.

The injured man was taken to the University Clinical Center for treatment and is scheduled for surgery. Authorities quickly apprehended the 43-year-old suspect after he fled the scene. The Higher Public Prosecutor's Office has been notified, and police are working to establish all details of the incident in Borivoja Stevanovića Street.
