Man Threatened with Blade, Dog Stolen Attempt in Hamburg

A 35-year-old individual was attacked and threatened with a blade while walking their two dogs in Hamburg-Barmbek on Thursday evening. The assailant attempted to steal one of the dogs during the encounter.

According to police reports, the attacker grabbed one of the dogs and threatened to injure it. The victim managed to hold onto the assailant's clothing, preventing the dog from being taken. During the struggle, the victim attempted to call emergency services, but the perpetrator snatched the phone and fled the scene without the dog.

Police officers later found the stolen mobile phone in the vicinity of the crime scene. However, the suspect was not apprehended despite an ongoing search. The robbery division of the police is currently investigating the incident.

The identity of the attacker remains unknown, and they are still at large. The incident has raised concerns about public safety in the Barmbek area.
