Manipuri musician dies after alleged assault by delivery workers and dhaba staff in Delhi

A 54-year-old Manipuri musician died after he allegedly confronted delivery workers and dhaba staff over shouting and nuisance outside his home in Delhi’s Kilokari village.

C. Vikram Singh came downstairs and confronted the group, according to a preliminary police inquiry. He was allegedly attacked with fists and blows, suffered injuries and was taken to Holy Family Hospital by his son, Yaiphaba. Singh later died while receiving treatment.

The incident came to light after Singh’s son made a PCR call reporting the assault. Police registered a murder case and said they had apprehended all the accused, including minors. They said the circumstances surrounding the attack and Singh’s death remain under investigation, with further facts to be established during the probe.

The report also mentions a separate fatal assault in East Delhi’s Mayur Vihar Phase 3. Police said a 40-year-old man was attacked by two men with wooden logs and sticks near a Durga temple, opposite a local lawmaker’s office. The victim and the two suspects had not been identified, according to PTI.
