Marco Libra begins pre-season with Bologna FC first team

Marco Libra, a promising young talent from Venezuela, has officially joined Bologna FC's first team as they prepare for the 2026-2027 campaign. The 18-year-old midfielder has integrated into the squad, participating in training sessions under the guidance of new head coach Domenico Tedesco.

Libra's promotion follows a solid performance with the Primavera 1 team, where he featured in twenty matches and provided two assists last season. His transition to professional training marks a significant step in his burgeoning career. Notably, Libra also made his debut for Venezuela's senior national team on June 6, adding another milestone to his young career.

The midfielder, who celebrated his 18th birthday on March 21, has been on a professional upward trajectory since 2025. His development was highlighted during the U-17 World Cup with the Venezuelan national team, where he played a full match in a 0-3 victory against England. He also featured in matches against Egypt and Haiti, and was part of the squad that faced North Korea in the round of sixteen.

Despite limited minutes with the senior national team, Libra is recognized as one of Venezuela's most promising football prospects. His journey from youth international competitions to training with a Serie A club underscores his potential and the high expectations placed upon him.
