Marco Trungelliti achieves his first Masters 1000 Cincinnati victory with a memorable point.

Argentinian tennis player Marco Trungelliti achieved a significant milestone by winning his first career match in the main draw of the ATP Masters 1000 Cincinnati tournament. The 36-year-old from Santiago del Estero defeated Serbia's Hamad Medjedovic with a score of 7-5, 7-6 (7-2).

The match was highlighted by a spectacular point in the first set, which drew exclamations from commentators. Trungelliti's skillful play, involving a precise cross-court backhand and a quick volley, left Medjedovic with no chance. This remarkable shot was described as one of the best points of the tournament so far.

Trungelliti, who qualified for the main draw after defeating Sebastian Ofner and Kei Nishikori, is participating in the Cincinnati Masters for the fourth time. He will now face world No. 7 Daniil Medvedev in the round of 64. Their only previous encounter was in the 2016 Challenger de Todi, where Trungelliti emerged victorious.

Other Argentinian players also advanced in the tournament. Sebastián Báez defeated Grigor Dimitrov 1-6, 6-3, 6-4 and will play Learner Tien next.
