Margaret Qualley reappears after split from Jack Antonoff, stuns in daring Chanel footwear

Margaret Qualley has once again captured attention, appearing publicly in London for the premiere of Ridley Scott's new film, "The War of the Lasts." This marks her first significant public outing since news of her separation from music producer Jack Antonoff emerged about a month prior.

At the event held at the Odeon Luxe in Leicester Square, Qualley posed alongside co-star Jacob Elordi. While she made no statements regarding her personal life, her daring choice of footwear from Chanel quickly became a focal point of the evening. She wore a long black dress featuring a deep V-neck and fringed polka dots, but the real surprise lay at her feet.

Qualley sported Chanel's "naked shoes," a design by Matthieu Blazy for the Cruise 2026/2027 collection. The minimalist design consists of a small heel piece and delicate ankle straps, lacking a conventional sole and leaving most of the foot exposed. This creates the striking illusion that the wearer is walking barefoot, adorned only by a leather detail.

The avant-garde shoes had previously sparked discussion since their debut on April 28 during Chanel's show in Biarritz. While some praised Blazy's boldness, others questioned their comfort, hygiene, and suitability for wear beyond the runway. Qualley, however, became the first star to wear them on a red carpet.

Qualley's choice is not entirely unexpected given her long-standing relationship with Chanel, for which she serves as an ambassador. She has walked for the brand, appeared in campaigns, and even wore Chanel for her wedding to Antonoff in August 2023. The couple confirmed their separation in early July, after nearly three years of marriage.
