Mariela from ‘Gran Hermano’ on 30 Years with Turco García, Jealousy and the Dancer Her Husband Had Never Seen

Mariela Prieto left Gran Hermano feeling “happy” about reaching the final and grateful for the opportunity Telefe gave her. In an interview with LA NACION, she said the confinement did not trouble her because she usually adapts to difficult situations.

She said the program’s phrase, “What angers you controls you,” became a guide during conflicts. Rather than remaining caught in anger or resentment, she tried to resolve problems and move on. Living with 25 people she did not know also taught her to accept that everyone brought their own difficulties into the house.

Prieto said the experience made her especially glad to discover that she could remain competitive at her age. She offered an encouraging message to women her age who feel depressed or believe they have nothing left to expect from life: “Get up. You can still be alive, be young and do things that make you happy with yourself.”

She said injustice angers her, which shaped the way she approached the game. She wanted viewers to know her without resorting to cheap shots or trying to push others aside through cruelty. “I wanted to play intelligently,” she said.

Prieto also recalled a happy adolescence in Flores, where she accepted her body and personality and developed confidence. She has danced and played sports since she was six, rode motorcycles and played at San Lorenzo. Her early jobs included modeling, appearances connected to Turismo Carretera, fashion shows, advertising and television programs. She said her mother took her to auditions from a young age, while also sending her to pursue many different activities.
