Unilever, the brand's owner, confirmed the decision on Tuesday, citing "ongoing supply challenges" without elaborating on the specifics. The company acknowledged the brand's long heritage and its strong association with consumers over the years. "We thank all Marmite fans for their continued support and enthusiasm," Unilever stated in response to queries.

We understand several consumers are disappointed with the current unavailability of Marmite across local supermarkets.

Supermarket chains have confirmed the product's unavailability. Cold Storage noted that Marmite was discontinued about four months ago and they are working with suppliers to bring in alternative stocks, though timelines are still being finalized. FairPrice is also diversifying its sources to offer "alternative overseas stocks of Marmite." Sheng Siong supermarkets reported that both Marmite and Bovril are currently unavailable.
