Married at First Sight couple no longer married, removed from show over allegations

Allan Beier and Katrine Asthing, a couple who found fame on the Danish reality show "Gift ved første blik" (Married at First Sight), have revealed they are no longer together. Beier confirmed in a text message that they are neither married nor dating, despite referring to Asthing as his wife in recent interviews.

The couple states they were unexpectedly removed from the upcoming 12th season of the dating experiment, which is set to premiere on September 3. They feel they have been treated poorly and left without a clear explanation for their exclusion.

According to Asthing, she was contacted in mid-June by the show's production company. She was informed that DR, the Danish Broadcasting Corporation, had received an anonymous email containing allegations against Beier. Asthing was then questioned about whether she had experienced psychological or physical abuse in her relationship with Beier.

Beier had a similar conversation with DR shortly before, where the same accusations were presented to him. After two weeks of uncertainty, both were called to separate meetings with DR, the production company Snowman, and a lawyer. It was then they were told of DR's decision to cut them from the program due to the claims against Beier.
