Argentina's digital journalism scene will be in the spotlight on June 4 as the Martín Fierro de Portales Web awards ceremony unfolds. This event, now in its second year, is organized by the Asociación de Periodistas de la Televisión y Radiofonía Argentina (Aptra) to recognize excellence in online journalistic services from the past year.

La Nación, a prominent Argentine newspaper, leads the nominations with an impressive 17 nods. The publication is a contender in key categories such as Best Argentine News Site, Best Investigative Journalism, Best Editorial Director, and Best Political Columnist. Other nominated categories highlight the breadth of digital content, including gaming, current affairs, design, interviews, urban chronicles, and digital media innovation.

The ceremony is scheduled to take place at the Goldencenter Eventos in Parque Norte, beginning at 9 p.m. following a red carpet event. Throughout the evening, winners will be announced across 33 distinct categories. The highlight of the night will be the awarding of the coveted Martín Fierro de Oro, recognizing the overall outstanding achievement in Argentine web journalism.
