Marvel Unveils 'Ghost Rider,' 'Black Panther 3' and 'Avengers: Doomsday' at Comic-Con

Marvel Studios returned to San Diego Comic-Con on Saturday, electrifying fans with a preview of its future film projects. The studio unveiled plans for "Ghost Rider," starring Ryan Gosling and directed by Shawn Levy, and "Black Panther 3."

"Black Panther 3" is slated for release on December 15, 2028, and will introduce David Jonsson in the title role as the son of the late Chadwick Boseman's T'Challa. The "Ghost Rider" film is also planned for 2028, though a specific date has not yet been announced.

The panel also offered a first look at "Avengers: Doomsday," the franchise's next major project following "Spider-Man: Brand New Day." Footage revealed Doctor Doom overpowering the Avengers and commanding an army of Sentinels. The film is set to hit theaters on December 18, positioning it for a box-office clash with the third installment of Warner Bros.' "Dune" series, a matchup already dubbed "Dunesday."

Adding to the excitement, Ryan Gosling surprised the audience by appearing onstage for "Ghost Rider." "If we're going to do this, there's only one director," Gosling said, introducing Shawn Levy, who confirmed, "We'll see you in 2028." Later, "Black Panther 3" cast members, including Letitia Wright and Winston Duke, joined director Ryan Coogler. David Jonsson expressed his honor in taking on the title role. Hayley Atwell also confirmed her return as Peggy Carter in the new film.
