Maternity, Pensions, Unemployment Funds Now Payable via Revolut

Recipients in Bulgaria can now receive various social security payments, including maternity benefits, pensions, and unemployment funds, directly through the digital banking platform Revolut. This significant update to the National Social Security Institute's (NSSI) payment system came into effect on August 1.

Previously, these benefits were exclusively disbursed through traditional bank accounts. The NSSI's decision to integrate Revolut as a payment channel represents a modernization effort aimed at providing greater flexibility and convenience for beneficiaries. This move acknowledges the increasing adoption of digital financial services among the Bulgarian population.

The regulatory changes enabling this transition were implemented to streamline the disbursement process.
