Max Verstappen extends Red Bull contract through 2030

Formula 1 team Red Bull Racing announced on Thursday the contract extension for Dutch driver Max Verstappen, the four-time world champion. The new agreement will keep Verstappen with the Austrian team through the end of the 2030 season.

"We are pleased to announce that Max has extended his contract until the end of 2030," the team posted on social media. This significant contract extension comes amidst intensive preparations for Verstappen's home race, the Dutch Grand Prix, which is set to begin on Sunday at 3 p.m. local time at Zandvoort.

Verstappen, 28, was previously under contract with Red Bull until the end of the 2028 season. He joined the team in 2016, having started his career in their sister team, Toro Rosso. He achieved his first Grand Prix victory in his debut race with Red Bull.

Over his career with the team, Verstappen has secured four world championship titles and 71 race victories. He has also been instrumental in Red Bull securing two constructors' championships. His continued presence signifies a strong commitment between the driver and the team, aiming for further success in the coming years.
