Mayor photographed with woman linked to environmental concerns and business troubles

The mayor of Croatia's Lika-Senj County, Ernest Petry, has been photographed in an intimate embrace with a woman identified by several domestic media outlets as Ana Obućina. The images, which show the two kissing, have surfaced amidst scrutiny surrounding Obućina's professional and personal background.

Media reports indicate that Ana Obućina is employed as a senior administrative officer at the Public Institution for the Protection and Preservation of Nature in Lika-Senj County. She is also listed as a collaborator for DIVINUM, a cosmetics business focused on natural products, co-founded with her sister. The business, established in 2019, has reportedly faced financial difficulties, being currently in blockade.

Obućina has previously been vocal about environmental issues, particularly protesting the disposal of hazardous waste in the Lika region. However, her own role in environmental monitoring has come under question. Zvonimir Troskot, a representative from the political party Most, has publicly urged the media to investigate Obućina's actions. He specifically questioned whether she had reported environmental problems earlier, given her position in ecological network monitoring, and what specific steps she had taken.
