Mazda CX-5 Redesign Officially Launches in Taiwan August 18; Pricing and Specs Revealed

Mazda's all-new CX-5 is set to officially launch in Taiwan on August 18, following the commencement of pre-orders for four distinct models. These models range in price from NT$948,000 for the 25S Elite to NT$1,169,000 for the 25S AWD Premium Plus, offering consumers a variety of options.

The redesigned CX-5 boasts an enlarged body size, measuring 4,690mm in length, 1,860mm in width, and 1,690mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,815mm. Its exterior showcases Mazda's new design language, featuring a revised "Soul of Motion" grille and sleeker LED headlights. The rear design echoes the CX-60 with new LED taillights and "MAZDA" lettering. Color options include the signature Polymetal Grey, Snowflake White Pearl, Machine Grey, Deep Crystal Blue, and the new "Deep Ocean Blue."

Inside, the CX-5 receives a significant upgrade with a standard 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster. Central displays are either 12.9-inch or 15.6-inch, depending on the trim level, and support wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Higher trims offer a large color heads-up display, ventilated front seats, dual front power adjustments, ambient lighting, and a BOSE surround sound system. A panoramic sunroof is also available on top-tier models.

Under the hood, the new CX-5 is equipped with a 2.5-liter Skyactiv-G naturally aspirated gasoline engine. This powertrain delivers 188 horsepower and 26.2 kg-m of torque, paired with a six-speed automatic transmission. All-wheel-drive variants are available, and Mazda's i-ACTIVSENSE active safety technology is standard across the entire lineup, ensuring comprehensive driver assistance and safety.
