MC Mong Vows Legal Fight Against MBC's 'PD Notebook' Over Upcoming Broadcast

Rapper and producer MC Mong has announced his intention to take legal action against MBC's investigative program "PD Notebook" ahead of a scheduled broadcast. MC Mong expressed his anger on social media, stating he would "fight with my honor on the line" against the MBC producers.

He further declared his plan to file a lawsuit seeking 100 billion won (approximately $72 million USD) against MBC. MC Mong alleges that the program will misrepresent his past actions, specifically mentioning repaying a friend's investment 18 years ago, and is seeking to hold the broadcaster accountable for what he calls a "life-ruining" report.

The "PD Notebook" episode, scheduled to air on Thursday evening, is titled "MC Mong and Chairman's K-Pop Business Secrets." It is expected to delve into allegations of embezzlement of company funds and overseas gambling involving MC Mong and Cha Ga-won, the chairman of PIAK Group and CEO of One Hundred Label.

The program's production team has released a preview trailer featuring an interview with Chairman Cha. One Hundred Label, established in 2023 by MC Mong and Cha Ga-won, has recently attracted attention in the entertainment industry by signing artists such as Taemin of SHINee and actor Lee Seung-gi.
