Mediating countries condemn Israeli attacks

Mediators from Qatar, Turkey, and Egypt have issued a joint statement condemning Israel's "violations in the Gaza Strip."

The statement specifically denounces attacks targeting healthcare facilities and civilians, asserting that such actions are a violation of international law. The mediators expressed concern that these attacks could undermine the existing ceasefire between Israel and Hamas.

Reports emerged Tuesday morning of Israeli military operations, including the use of armored vehicles, in multiple locations across Gaza, with Haaretz reporting a tent camp was shelled in Khan Younis. These actions follow incidents over the weekend where eight people were killed in attacks on residential buildings, with five more deaths reported later that day, according to Hamas-controlled authorities.

These reported Israeli attacks in Gaza continue despite a formal ceasefire announced by U.S. President Donald Trump on Friday, which was intended to lead to the disarmament of Hamas and an Israeli withdrawal from Gaza.
