Despite the public's positive reception, the film struggled commercially, earning approximately $16.6 million worldwide against a production budget supported by a $40 million Amazon MGM deal and an additional $35 million spent on marketing.

These financial details emerged from Donald Trump's 927-page financial report. Despite the film's underperformance at the box office, Donald Trump publicly supported it in February, describing it as "very successful." He humorously remarked that he couldn't have two stars in the family, referring to Melania as a "big movie star" and claiming that "cinemas are full," with women reportedly returning to watch the film multiple times.

The documentary explored themes related to the former First Lady's life, though its commercial and critical reception painted a different picture than the one presented by her husband.
