Jakub Menšík’s promising US Open match turned tense when he became involved in a dispute with spectators. The Czech player complained that a group of fans was provoking and insulting him, prompting security to intervene.

Menšík faced Learner Tien in the tournament’s third round. He ultimately lost the five-set match 3-6, 6-1, 7-6, 3-6, 4-6 and failed to advance to the last 16.
