Mercantil Banco Universal has been recognized by Global Finance magazine as the "Best Bank in Venezuela" for the sixth consecutive year. This award, within the "Best Banks in Latin America" category, reaffirms the bank's leadership and commitment to development and financial inclusion, according to a press release.

The international publication's recognition highlights organizations with solid performance in complex markets, consistent results, and a foundation for future continuity. Global Finance considers both quantitative and qualitative factors, including financial indicator growth, strategic alliances, and product innovation.

In 2025, Mercantil focused on delivering value to customers and facilitating banking access. Key initiatives included the "Simplified Current Account," which opened over 314,000 new accounts, and "My First Account," which brought 39,000 children and adolescents into the financial system. Technological transformation was central to these achievements, with the Mercantil Móvil Personas app surpassing 1.78 million downloads and achieving a 4.8-star rating. The AI chatbot, MIA, managed over 17 million conversations, showcasing agility and innovation.
