The Argentine Football Association (AFA) confirmed the situation in an official statement, explaining that "some players from the squad will depart directly from the United States to various destinations to rejoin their clubs or begin their rest period."

Meanwhile, the remainder of the delegation departed on an Aerolineas Argentinas flight at 08:17 hours, heading back to Argentina. The split return highlights the demanding schedules of top international footballers and their need to manage club duties alongside national team commitments.
