Following the World Cup final loss to Spain on July 19, Messi took a break with his family in his hometown of Rosario, Argentina. His absence from the team was acknowledged by Inter Miami coach Guillermo Hoyos, who indicated there was no fixed return date for Messi and his compatriot Rodrigo De Paul. Hoyos emphasized the need for rest after the grueling World Cup.

"The World Cup is exhausting; there is physical and mental fatigue. They deserve to be left alone," Hoyos stated last week, explaining the decision to grant the players extended leave. Both Messi and De Paul were given permission to miss the MLS All-Star game, which took place on Wednesday in Charlotte, North Carolina.

The exact return date for the 39-year-old Messi into Inter Miami's playing squad has not yet been announced. The club is preparing for upcoming matches, including a home game against Columbus Crew on Saturday and a LIGA MX match against San Luis next Wednesday. The team will be looking to integrate their star player back into the lineup as they continue their season.
