Meteorologist Warns of Dangerous Storms Set to Sweep Across Croatia

Croatia is bracing for a sharp change in weather on July 1st, with meteorologists forecasting severe storms and strong winds following a recent heatwave. RTL meteorologist Ana Bago Tomac warned that the weather system could develop rapidly and cause significant damage, drawing comparisons to devastating storms that hit Zagreb and Slavonia in previous years.

"We will have daytime cloud development, perhaps thunderstorms, and then it will all merge with a cold front, resulting in major storms," Bago Tomac explained. She cautioned that the severity of the potential storms might rival those experienced in recent years. The exact areas most likely to be affected will become clearer on Wednesday as the storm systems begin to form and their movement becomes predictable.
