Mexicans Back Sheinbaum on Election Anniversary; Opposition Labeled 'Traitors'

Two years after her electoral triumph, Mexicans gathered at the Monument to the Revolution to reaffirm their support for President Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo. The event, marked by flags and chants of support, also served as a platform to address accusations of organized crime links against some members of her Morena party and to denounce perceived U.S. interference.

Supporters listened to a lengthy accountability report from Sheinbaum, applauding her defense of national sovereignty. Regarding the allegations against officials like Rubén Rocha Moya, governor of Sinaloa, attendees stressed the need for concrete evidence. They called for a strong defense of national sovereignty, rejecting any foreign intervention.

Critics of the opposition, particularly the PAN party and Chihuahua Governor María Eugenia Campos Galván, were accused of "treason" for allegedly facilitating the presence of CIA agents in the state and consenting to U.S. intervention. Gerardo, an attendee, expressed his support for Sheinbaum, stating she has continued the "Fourth Transformation" project and represents it.

He echoed the sentiment that Mexicans must make their own decisions and have the freedom to choose their leaders, especially in the face of perceived U.S. "meddling."
