Mexico's INE formally launches two new national political parties

Mexico's National Electoral Institute (INE) has formally initiated the activities of two new national political parties, Construyendo Sociedades de Paz, A.C. (PAZ) and Personas Sumando en 2025, A.C. (Somos México). The INE has provided these organizations with essential administrative resources, including offices, furniture, parking spaces, and access cards within the institute's facilities. They will also receive the designated staff contingent and compendiums of electoral legislation. Liliana Díaz de León Zapata, the Executive Director of Administration, oversaw the physical handover of these resources. Alejandro Romero Millán, Executive Director of Perogatives and Political Parties, presented the official registration certificates, which will serve as documentation for their administrative procedures. Alejandro Sosa Durán, Executive Director of the Federal Register of Voters, also facilitated the integration of their offices into the National Vigilance Commission (CNV). The INE emphasized that these administrative actions align with resolutions approved by its General Council. This ensures that the newly registered political forces have the institutional conditions required to exercise their legal rights and fulfill their obligations from the outset. The institute reiterated its commitment to the impartial application of the law and the strengthening of Mexico's party system through administrative actions that guarantee legal certainty, legality, objectivity, impartiality, and equity for all political actors.
