Mexico's SEP seeks graduates for Margarita Maza Baccalaureate program

The Secretariat of Public Education (SEP) in Mexico has launched a recruitment drive for guides and promoters within the Margarita Maza National Baccalaureate program. The initiative targets university graduates aged 22 to 29, particularly those with degrees in fields such as Communication, Culture, Science, Technology, Mathematics, Philosophy, History, and related disciplines.

The Pedagogical Guides will support students in using the educational platform, academic activities, and organizing their study times.

According to SEP Secretary Mario Delgado, the application window remains open until August 21, 2026. Prospective candidates must hold a completed bachelor's degree relevant to the advertised roles, possess academic transcripts, a professional title, or a professional license, and be available to work flexible hours. The program seeks to fill four distinct functions: Pedagogical Guides, who will assist students with the educational platform and study organization; Academic Support Guides, offering academic and psycho-emotional guidance; Cultural Promoters, who will lead artistic and cultural activities; and Sports Promoters, encouraging physical activity and healthy habits.

The Academic Support Guides will provide academic guidance and psycho-emotional support, while Cultural Promoters will promote artistic and cultural activities. Sports Promoters will be responsible for encouraging physical activity and healthy habits.

Subsecretary of Higher Secondary Education, Tania Rodríguez Mora, outlined the selection process, which involves an online pre-registration, document submission, results review, and subsequent training. Successful candidates will receive an assignment letter detailing their placement and shift, along with preparatory training to enhance their skills before commencing their duties.
