Mexico's 'Youth Building the Future' program opens new enrollment period

Mexico's "Jóvenes Construyendo el Futuro" (Youth Building the Future) program has launched a new phase for August, offering thousands of young people the chance to gain work experience and receive financial support. The initiative targets individuals between 18 and 29 years old who are currently neither studying nor employed. Through this program, participants are integrated into various entities, including companies, workshops, businesses, and public institutions, where they receive training for up to one year.

The Secretariat of Labor and Social Welfare (STPS) announced that a new period for linking participants with training centers began on August 1. Those already registered on the program's official platform can now browse available workplaces, review training plans, and apply for opportunities that align with their interests and skills. The monthly economic support provided is 9,582.47 pesos, equivalent to the current minimum wage.

For individuals yet to complete their registration, the process involves visiting the program's official platform to fill in personal details, accurately register their home address using the platform's map, upload a photograph, download and accept a commitment letter, and finalize the registration. Once this is done, applicants can access their accounts to view vacancies and apply to their preferred training center.

After an applicant submits their interest, the chosen training center has four calendar days to accept or reject the application. If a request is rejected or goes unanswered within the timeframe, the system automatically frees up the applicant's profile, allowing them to seek other available training centers without losing their opportunity to join the program. The financial support is disbursed via Banco del Bienestar cards.
