Mexico security forces seize arsenal in Nuevo León operation

Mexican security forces have seized a substantial arsenal in Melchor Ocampo, Nuevo León, as part of the "Operativo Muralla" (Wall Operation). The State Public Security Secretariat reported that the operation yielded firearms, ammunition, tactical equipment, and two vehicles.

The intervention took place in the central area of the municipality and involved elements from Fuerza Civil's Intelligence and Investigation divisions, along with Territorial Control, the Grupo ARES Rural Norte, and personnel from the Secretariat of National Defense. This action followed intelligence work and the identification of geographical areas used by alleged criminal groups.

Among the seized items were two Browning machine guns, six long guns, and two incomplete firearms. The ammunition inventory included 813 rounds of .50 caliber, 127 rounds of 7.62 x 51 millimeters, and 495 rounds of 7.62 x 39 millimeters. Additionally, three linked ammunition belts with 235 rounds of 7.62 x 51 millimeters and 19 metal magazines were found.

Authorities also recovered seven chest rigs, two tactical vests, and one harness. Two vehicles were secured: a Yukon Denali with armor plating and a Chevrolet Silverado Texas Edition. Two other units were disabled during the operation. The seized equipment has been handed over to the relevant authorities.
