Miaoli's Quan Shun Food Wins 'Golden Leaf Award,' Promotes Taiwanese Rice Globally

Miaoli's Quan Shun Food Enterprise has achieved a significant honor, winning the prestigious "Golden Leaf Award" for its outstanding commitment to sustainable ESG practices. The local company, renowned for its "Shanshui Rice" brand, was among only 10 enterprises nationwide to receive this top accolade, jointly awarded by the Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA) and the British Standards Institution (BSI).

Miaoli County Magistrate Chung Tung-chin presented the award, praising Quan Shun as a "light of Miaoli" and a benchmark for sustainability in the region's agricultural industry. The company's dedication to eco-friendly farming is evident in its "Tian Mu Xin Liang" traceable rice, which ensures transparency from source to processing, and its "Duck Rice" organic rice, cultivated without chemical pesticides or fertilizers.

Quan Shun Food Deputy General Manager Li Yi-ping highlighted the company's 40-year history of focusing on ESG, personnel management, and international development, alongside environmental education. Currently, they manage 60 hectares of organic farming land and have contracts with 1,200 farmers across Taiwan for 1,500 hectares of traceable rice production.

Magistrate Chung emphasized the cultural importance of rice and commended Quan Shun for its stable quality, which has led to sales across Taiwan and exports to Japan, allowing the world to savor delicious Taiwanese rice.
