Middle East Online: USA neutralizes Iranian drones threatening traffic in Hormuz

U.S. forces in the Middle East successfully neutralized two Iranian attack drones on June 6, local time, as they threatened shipping lanes in the critical Strait of Hormuz. The U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) announced the action, emphasizing its readiness to deter further Iranian aggression.

The incident occurred amidst a backdrop of escalating tensions and a series of tit-for-tat strikes between Iran and other regional actors. CENTCOM reported that prior to neutralizing the two drones, U.S. forces had already shot down four Iranian attack drones heading toward the strait.
