Andreas Richt, head of the Swedish supporters group, described the scene, noting the consumption of vodka and herring, integral parts of the Midsummer celebration.

Sweden enters the match with high spirits following their largest World Cup victory in 88 years, a 5-1 win against Tunisia. The Netherlands, conversely, seeks to regain confidence after a disappointing 2-2 draw with Japan. Despite the on-field stakes, many fans view the World Cup as an opportunity for unity and shared enjoyment.

He also noted the good rapport between Dutch and Swedish fans, sharing a similar vibe and mutual respect.
