MiLB: Taiwanese-American Star Fairchild Hits Two Home Runs Against Former Teammate Zhuang Chen-Chung

Taiwanese-American baseball player Stuart Fairchild showcased his power in a minor league clash, hitting two home runs against his former Classic Games teammate Zhuang Chen-Chung.

Fairchild, recently a free agent who joined his hometown team, the Seattle Mariners, was adjusting his swing in the rookie league before returning to the Mariners' Triple-A team. In his first game back, he immediately hit a home run. The following day, he continued his impressive performance.

Facing Zhuang Chen-Chung in the fourth inning, Fairchild launched a solo home run to center field. The ball had an exit velocity of 98.5 mph and traveled 386 feet, marking his sixth home run in Triple-A this season and his first since joining the Mariners' affiliate.

Fairchild wasn't finished. In the sixth inning, he hit another solo home run to center field, this time with an exit velocity of 101.5 mph and a distance of 412 feet. This second blast completed his first multi-homer game in Triple-A, bringing his season total to seven home runs.

The Mariners' Triple-A team ultimately won the slugfest 12-10. Fairchild went 2-for-4 with two home runs and two RBIs. Zhuang Chen-Chung, who pitched 4.1 innings, struggled, giving up 8 earned runs on 9 hits, including three home runs, and took his fourth loss of the season, raising his ERA to 8.23.
