Miley Cyrus Immortalized with Star on Hollywood Walk of Fame

Pop superstar Miley Cyrus was honored with her own star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on Friday, a recognition described as representing the "immortality" of her legacy. The ceremony, attended by actress Anya Taylor-Joy and fashion designer Donatella Versace, celebrated the artist's enduring influence.

Receiving star number 2,754, Cyrus's star is located in front of the Madame Tussauds wax museum, a spot she referenced in her song "Walk of Fame." During her acceptance speech, she humorously compared the star's creation to building a skyscraper, stating, "My father used to say that a skyscraper begins with a jackhammer. And the same is true for a star on the Walk of Fame!"

Cyrus reflected on her song's lyrics about living forever, noting that the very act of not being immortal creates urgency. "My life, my art, and my desire to tear down the walls of any box we've been tricked into believing exists," she added, emphasizing her drive for authenticity and breaking boundaries.

Taylor-Joy and Versace lauded Cyrus's ability to pursue her artistic vision without seeking permission, celebrating her as a woman who taught a generation to own their stories. The Hollywood Chamber of Commerce highlighted Cyrus's three Golden Globe nominations, numerous platinum and diamond-certified singles and albums, and her continuous transformation of pop music across genres like pop, rock, country, and soul.

Having won her first Grammy in 2024 for "Flowers," Cyrus's career is marked by evolution rather than distinct eras.
