In Luke village, Nõo municipality, a hiker stumbled upon a mortar mine while walking in the forest. The explosive device was subsequently secured and destroyed by the bomb squad. This incident highlighted the potential dangers lurking in natural areas, even those frequented by the public.

Separately, during excavation work in Tagumaa village, Peipsiääre municipality, a shell was unearthed. This discovery also necessitated the intervention of the bomb disposal unit, which proceeded to neutralize the ordnance.
