Minister delivers aid to firefighters battling Barrio Lindo blaze

Minister of Productive Development Óscar Mario Justiniano delivered essential aid to firefighters and volunteers combating a significant fire in Barrio Lindo, Santa Cruz de la Sierra. The support package, provided by the Executive Branch, private companies, and entrepreneurs, includes hydration supplies, eye drops, serums, food, and medicine for the nearly 500 individuals deployed to the emergency.

"We are making a small contribution so that we can maintain the work, as there are still more than 15 hours left to fully extinguish this fire," Justiniano stated, emphasizing the ongoing nature of the efforts. The aid also includes 400 dinners, plus breakfast and dry food, for those working around the clock.

Justiniano highlighted the importance of joint efforts between different levels of government and the private sector to assist the affected families. The government is also coordinating with the Vice-governorship of Santa Cruz, ENDE, CRE, the Mayor's office, and other institutions to secure fuel, restore electricity, improve nighttime lighting, and ensure water and supply availability during the firefighting operations. Support will continue until the emergency is resolved.
