Minister Orillac on Panamanians in Russia-Ukraine War: 'The Government Has Nothing to Do With It'

Panama's government has no connection to Panamanians recruited to fight in the Russia-Ukraine conflict, according to Juan Carlos Orillac, Minister of the Presidency. Speaking at an event in Arraiján, Orillac stressed that neither the national government nor President Mulino is involved in these recruitment processes. He urged the public, particularly parents, to remain vigilant about potential military recruitment programs or proposals in foreign countries.

The Panamanian Foreign Ministry confirmed on Friday that it is aware of at least 15 cases of Panamanians in this situation.
