Minor CJP activist alleges stones were thrown at her home and seeks police protection

A 14-year-old activist has alleged that people she described as BJP-linked "goons" surrounded her home and threw stones and bricks into the house. In videos posted on X, she appealed to Delhi and Ghaziabad police for security for her family.

"What if something happens to my parents? Who will be held responsible for that?" she asked in one of the videos. Her allegations followed the arrest of right-wing content creator Swatantra Bhardwaj, who police accuse of seriously injuring her 38-year-old father, Sanjay Azad, during protests at Jantar Mantar.

NSUI National President Vinod Jakhar visited the residence on Saturday and met the family. He questioned the police over what he described as a delay in acting against the alleged attacker.

Bhardwaj, 21, was sent to one-day police custody by a Delhi court on Saturday. The case returned to public attention after he said on a podcast that he had "cracked the skull" of Azad and had been released by police because of his alleged links with BJP leader Kapil Mishra and Union minister Chirag Paswan. He later described the assault as self-defense.
