Minya Governor Highlights Youth Programs for Skill Development

Minya Governor Emad Kewedani stressed the vital role of youth centers and clubs in nurturing the skills and character of young people, particularly during the summer break. He highlighted the importance of engaging youth in sports and talent development activities to foster a generation capable of creativity and contribution to national development.

The Minya Youth and Sports Directorate presented a report detailing the diverse programs and activities conducted throughout July. These initiatives encompassed sports competitions, talent scouting and development, alongside cultural, scouting, and community engagement programs. The aim is to encourage positive participation and prepare a generation for innovation and excellence.

Key sports initiatives included the national project for discovering talent and Olympic hopefuls in table tennis, boxing, and wrestling, as well as a national project for motor skills development. The directorate also organized a training center for children with autism, promoting their inclusion in sports activities and providing specialized training.

In terms of youth development, the directorate concluded its evaluation of community projects within the scouting activities for the fiscal year 2026/2027. Additionally, specialized training sessions were held to foster cultural creativity and talent, covering hobbies, science, environment, and scouting, to identify and develop the capabilities of young people across various fields.
