Mirko Jozic announces visit to Chile: 'It's always nice to be a Colo Colo fan'

Mirko Jozic, the revered Croatian coach who guided Colo Colo to their historic 1991 Copa Libertadores title, has announced his upcoming visit to Chile in September. The 86-year-old manager accepted an invitation from the club's Social and Sports Association (CSyD) to mark the 35th anniversary of their greatest triumph.

In a video message shared by CSyD Colo Colo, Jozic conveyed his gratitude for the enduring affection shown by the club's supporters. He extended warm greetings ahead of the anniversary of the pivotal June 5, 1991, victory, which remains the pinnacle of South American club football achievement for Colo Colo.

Jozic specifically thanked CSyD President Edmundo Valladares and director Pedro Ruminot for orchestrating his visit. The celebrated coach anticipates a joyous occasion, encouraging fans to celebrate the significant milestone with "lungs full of love for Colo Colo." He concluded by reaffirming his connection to the club, stating, "It's always nice to be a 'colocolino.'" Jozic managed Colo Colo from 1990 to 1993, securing six titles, including three league championships and the prestigious Copa Libertadores.
