Miss Croatia Arrives in Vietnam for Miss World Pageant, Carrying Special Gifts

Miss Croatia Ema Helena Vičar has arrived in Vietnam to represent her country at the 73rd Miss World competition. The pageant, taking place from August 9 to September 5, will host approximately 130 delegates from around the globe, with the grand finale scheduled for September 5 in Nha Trang.

Vičar is set to compete in all seven official categories, with the goal of securing a spot in the Top 40. Winners of each category automatically advance to this elite group. Her "Beauty with a Purpose" project, "Blue Planet: A Purpose for Life," focuses on protecting the Adriatic Sea and addressing the issue of discarded fishing nets, highlighting the Croatian initiative Krie x Provir which transforms collected nets into ECONYL® regenerated nylon fiber.

In the Top Model category, Vičar will wear a creation by Croatian designer Marina Matić – LARIE, inspired by the Plitvice Lakes and Krka National Parks. This spectacular gown is adorned with over 500,000 Swarovski crystals, beads, and stones, complemented by a nearly six-meter-long cape.

Her participation also includes a lyrical dance performance in the Talent category, a public presentation of Croatia, her education, and entrepreneurial journey in the Head-to-Head Challenge, and an interview with the international jury about her life, education, and future vision. She will also engage in sports challenges testing physical fitness and teamwork, and use the Multimedia category to address global themes like environmental protection, education, and equality.

During her nearly month-long stay, Vičar has packed over 20 exclusive outfits and will present a special Croatian gift for the auction during the Beauty with a Purpose dinner: a portrait of Marilyn Monroe by artist Dimitrije Popović. Her participation aims to showcase Croatia's nature, culture, sustainability, and values, demonstrating that beauty can indeed have a purpose.
