Standing at 6-foot-6, Borthwick was a standout two-way player in high school, boasting a fastball that reaches 97-98 mph. He also showcased his talent on the international stage, earning MVP honors at the U18 World Cup after throwing a seven-inning shutout against Japan in the championship game, leading the United States to victory.
